Waves For Water

 

The Task

Find a creative way to keep Hurricane Sandy relief front-of-mind and raise money in the process.

What We Did

Conceived of a Valentine’s Day e-card initiative, Love 4 Relief, in partnership with Waves for Water, a non-profit organization working on Sandy relief in coastal areas. Connected with third-party Surf Collective NYC to host the program and located a developer to code the micro-site for the promotion and sale of the e-cards.

Identified and curated content from a range of talented surfers, including fashion designers, photographers, filmmakers, shapers and graphic artists, including Rogan Gregory, Heidi Merrick, Mikey De Temple, Justin Jay, who created original artwork for the series.

Devised and rolled out social media strategy, activating key members of the surf community to spread the word.

The program generated wide ranging short lead media coverage including Style.com, Vogue.com, Refinery29, Surfline and FOAM.
